Founding President and CEO, FRX Polymers
Marc Lebel is founding President and CEO of FRX Polymers. FRX Polymers manufactures and markets a unique and highly patented family of halogen- free flame retardant polymers which are used to impart flame retardancy to a wide range of plastics used in the $30B global flame retardant plastics market.
Prior to forming FRX, Marc held senior roles for several companies including, President and CEO of DSM Thermoplastic Elastomers which was developed and then successfully sold in an M&A deal, Global Business Director at Cabot Corp, Executive VP Licensing and Venturing at Triton Systems and VP Sales and Marketing at Aspen Aerogels which recently completed its IPO.
Over his career, Marc has raised more than $200MM in equity and debt for the various companies that he has been associated with and has lead a number of M&A’s and technology acquisition projects.
Marc is the current Chairman of the North American Phosphorus, Inorganic and Nitrogen Flame Retardant Association (PINFA) in which FRX was a founding member company.
FRX Polymers has won numerous awards, including the Flanders Cleantech award for globalization and sustainability, the Belgium Business Award for the Environment, the EPA’s Environmental Merit Award, the Flanders Investment of the Year Award, (three times) The Frost and Sullivan Innovation of the Year Award, (three times) The Global Cleantech 100 List and the Going Green 200 Award. In addition, FRX has been featured in the Economic Report which aired on CNN and separately was featured on CNN Money.
Marc holds the designation of professional engineer from the provinces of Ontario and Alberta in Canada and studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa. He is a listed inventor on more than 20 granted patents and has completed company sponsored executive business courses at the Harvard Business School and the International Institute for Management Development.
