President and Global Head of Private Equity and Special Situations for Enany Global Asset Management

Brian M. Wong is President and Global Head of Private Equity and Special Situations for Enany Global Asset Management (EGAM) – a privately held global investment family office of the Enany Family – a prominent Saudi family primarily based in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. EGAM’s general investment strategy is to achieve superior risk–adjusted returns across the entire capital structure while preserving capital. EGAM directly invests its own investment capital and originates global co–investment opportunities with other high net worth families, Middle Eastern and North American sovereign wealth funds and other global investors through its extensive global network of partners and deal finders.

EGAM’s flexible investment mandate and structure will allow it to directly invest in a broad array of healthy and distressed asset classes including private equity, public equity, fixed income, real estate and alternative investment markets of the United States and across the globe. EGAM and its affiliates are incorporated in the Cayman Islands with additional offices planned for the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Brian is responsible for creating and executing EGAM’s global investment strategy, and for originating, executing and exiting EGAM’s global private equity and special situation investments. Brian has over 24 years of investment banking, leveraged finance and private equity experience. Since 1987, Brian has worked in a variety of senior corporate finance roles at global investment banks such as Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., Jefferies & Company, Inc. and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Brian has completed transactions encompassing investment grade as well as non-investment grade debt financings, IPOs and secondary equity financings totaling over $2.6 billion and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts (LBOs) valued in excess of $18 billion. Prior to joining The Enany Group, Brian provided certain corporate finance advisory services to select governments and ministries, private companies, and wealthy U.S. and Middle Eastern families. As a result, Brian has a tremendous amount of experience across a wide range of industries (i.e., technology, industrial, real estate, etc.) and has been involved in a number of M&A, LBO, debt, equity and restructuring transactions.

Also, Brian currently serves on the Advisory Board to Pangaea Ventures Ltd. – an early stage North American cleantech and advanced material focused venture capital firm overseeing Pangaea Ventures Fund I, II and III.

During part of 2000 – 2001, Brian led and established Bear Stearns Technology Investment Banking's Global Venture Capital Coverage Group based out of L.A. covering a number of venture capital firms throughout the U.S. Prior to Bear Stearns, Brian was Co–Head of the Business and Real Estate Services Group for JMP Securities LLC in San Francisco during 2000. From 1997 – 1999, Brian was the #2 banker in charge of Jefferies & Company, Inc.’s Real Estate Securities Group covering a number of homebuilders, REITs and property service companies.

Brian graduated from Canada’s University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours Business Administration in 1987 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1985.
