Andrew Haughian

Early in his career, Andrew was exposed first hand to the daunting challenge of meeting growing energy demand from a finite energy supply. Managing an operations team conducting highly complex oil and gas field services in some of the world’s harshest weather and terrain, he become convinced that renewable energy sources would eventually need to become a dominant part of the world’s energy mix.

As he transitioned into a role as an engineering risk management consultant in industries including energy, utilities, mining and forestry, it become obvious to him that that the world faces a future of far reaching resource scarcity extending far beyond just oil and gas.

In challenge comes opportunity, and as a Partner, Andrew believes that when breakthrough science is combined with innovative and visionary entrepreneurs faced with the sense of urgency that only a start-up venture can impart, even the biggest global challenges can be solved.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Business Administration degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
